What is Credential Verification?

Members of the Elance professional network typically have various credentials on their profile. These include certifications, professional licenses, degrees, past employment and professional references. By having these credentials verified by an independent third party, members can substantiate the credential and provide assurance of the authenticity of their profile. For US credentials, the cost per verification is $15.  For all international verifications, the cost is $25.  Credential verifications typically take 1-2 weeks to process depending on the volume and nature of the requests.

Please follow the steps below to verify your credentials:

Step 1:  Click on the "Edit" link in the "Credentials" section of your profile.

Step 2:  Add the appropriate credentials to your profile.

Step 3:  Scroll to the bottom of the page to request verification right away.

Step 3:  Or, choose which credential to verify later once you have added all your credentials.
